Game Overview
Step into the Hogwarts library and answer 600 questions based on the Harry Potter movies. This Harry Potter merchandise is quick to play, easy to store, and convenient to carry. Some questions might challenge even the wisest of wizards! What is the Trace? What is Krum’s first name? How many brothers does Ron have? Face the challenge with these and other trivia questions in 6 categories.
Six Magical Categories
Test your trivia from the following topics: The Dark Arts, Hogwarts, Magical Spells and Potions, Magical Objects, Magical People, and Animals and Magical Creatures. Players will have different levels of detail in their knowledge of the world of Harry Potter. Use your discretion when answering questions as to how much detail is needed to be considered correct.
How to Play
Play Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit from the car, on family trips, or anywhere! First player to answer 12 questions correctly wins! Place the cards in the holder with the question side facing forwards. Choose a player to go first; play continues clockwise. On your turn roll the die to decide a category color. Another player takes the front card and reads you the question from that category.
If you answer correctly, the card goes to the back of the deck but you roll the die again to go for a Wedge question. This time if you answer the question correctly, you keep the card. To win another card, you must correctly answer a question on a new card, and then correctly answer the Wedge question on the next card. Keep going until you get an answer wrong. This ends your turn.

Customer Experiences
One reviewer shared: “I bought this for a group Zoom fellowship evening. All the players were adults and familiar with the books and movies. Most of the questions were fairly difficult for all the players except for the one real dedicated Potter fan and blogger.” Another customer noted: “My girlfriend is a huge Harry Potter fan so I got this for her as a gift. Some of the questions are easy enough but some of them are incredibly specific to characters only mentioned once or twice in the movie and/or books.”
A practical tip from an experienced player: “Instead of moving on your Trivial Pursuit game board, you roll a die to determine the pie piece color you are attempting to win. Lots of questions in the deck, and while some are easy, others are quite hard. However, determining the winner is not as easy as with the board game as there is no way to be record colors of pie pieces you have already won. I created my own method of record keeping by making a circle divided into six segments, one per color.”
Versatile Gameplay Options
If a player collects six cards on his or her very first turn, the remaining players may try to equal this feat and force the game to end in a draw. You can put them together with the family edition regular trivial pursuit to use the wedges in a the circle. The Potter series has the same amount of catagories/colors so you can use a regular board.
