Standards & Certifications

This premium 8 inch PVC piping meets and exceeds ASTM D1785, ASTM D2665, and NSF/ANSI Standards 14 & 61 for potable water applications. The pipe conforms to ASTM and ANSI standards, ensuring top-notch durability and impact resistance. Schedule 40 PVC is dual marked and can be used in DWV and pressure applications.

Material & Construction

Manufactured from high-grade Schedule 40 PVC material, this pipe offers superior durability and resistance to impact and UV exposure. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is one of the most broadly used thermoplastic materials, common to many industries. PVC is highly resistant to acids, alkalis, alcohols, and many other corrosive materials. The pipe exhibits consistent quality with uniform properties, making it a reliable choice for a range of applications.

Its high-tensile strength is matched by its resistance to corrosion, making it a long-lasting solution for both indoor and outdoor use. The resilient pipe has high-tensile and high-impact strength that expands its usability across multiple applications.

Installation & Flow Characteristics

Thanks to its lightweight yet durable construction, installation is a breeze. Its lightweight construction simplifies handling, while its smooth interior guarantees efficient fluid flow. Engineered with a smooth interior, our SCH 40 PVC pipes ensure efficient fluid movement with a minimized risk of clogs or restrictions.

PVC pipe is installed using primer and solvent cement for secure and long-lasting connections. Just use primer and solvent cement for secure and long-lasting connections. The wide range of joining options that include solvent welding, threaded and mechanical connections make it ideal for easy, error free installations.

Applications

From DIY furniture builds to pool and spa applications, and from irrigation systems to potable water supply, this PVC pipe has you covered. This pipe is ideal for numerous applications including:

  • Irrigation systems and underground sprinkler systems
  • Pool and spa installations
  • Potable water systems and cold water supply lines

Performance Features

Corrosion-resistant and NSF certified, these PVC pipes are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Their high-tensile and high-impact strength make them a versatile choice, whether you’re working on an irrigation project or installing a new plumbing system. The superior resistance and strength expands its usability, offering a resilient and reliable choice for a multitude of applications.

Schedule 40 PVC is highly durable, with high tensile and impact strength. It is easy to install and has better sound deadening qualities than other pipe schedules. Not only does this pipe comply with stringent industry standards, but it is also recyclable—contributing to environmental sustainability.

Important Operating Guidelines

PVC pipe is used where systems won’t exceed 140°F. The maximum recommended temperature for Schedule 40 PVC is 140°F. Pressure ratings for transmitting warmer or cooler liquids should be derated based on temperature – at higher temperatures, the pressure rating decreases. The pressure ratings given are for water, non-shock, at 73°F.

Do not use plastic pipe and fittings for compressed air or gas. Threading of Schedule 40 PVC pipe is not a recommended practice due to insufficient wall thickness.
